To have confidence in allowing someone to use, know, or look after something. To have or place confidence in something or someone. To expect with assurance; depend upon.
Now how does this relate to the bigger picture of our lives?
How is it possible to go through life without it? How is it possible to live life fully in it as well?
We can all agree that there is a certain measure of trust that we have in any given day. We get up each day having confidence that the sun will come up from the horizon be it cloudy or not. We have confidence that when we get on the train, cross the street or get onto a bus or in a car that we will get to our destination safely. We have confidence that when we pay our bills on time things run smoothly. We have confidence that when we turn on the shower it will be warm and steamy. Simple day to day things that don’t require too much mental work.
In our day to day lives we trust all manner and sorts of things to go smoothly and effortlessly. And the majority of the time this is said to be our truth. If you are privileged to live in North America or a ‘first world country’ the amount of trust in your daily activities is huge. How extraordinary.
MATTERS OF THE HEART...
When it comes to matters relating to the heart... what happens to us? Do we shut down, shut off, close up and confine our hearts? When our heart gets crushed, ripped or torn to shreds are we able to muster up some faith and trust that we will be okay and that we are worthy to be loved and are lovable? Do we put our hearts away on a dusty shelf and stay a shell of a human being? Do we have the courage to put it all back together and trust again? And why should we anyway?
Babies and small children have to have enormous trust within their environment. In order to survive and thrive we all need to have an immense amount of trust within ourselves and others around us. Why is this so? Without trust in oneself or others we can easily become neurotic, isolated, depressed and lonely.
As a living being on this amazing planet we have encountered some measure of heartbreak to be sure. Depending upon the grace, (and not the biblical concept of it-yet more referring to the thoughtfulness of others), of your childhood upbringing, this will assuredly define at some level, your measure of trust going into adulthood. Then as lessons of learning or innerstandings accumulate over time we develop a meter in which we judge how much or what we actually put our trust into. As difficulties arise in different doses we use those moments to either choose trust or doubt with minor to massive uncertainty with ourselves or others.
HOW FAITH AND TRUST ARE RELATED:
We could easily say that trust is based upon hard facts easily felt or seen. When you have certain confidence in something or someone it is because you have witnessed or felt these qualities or moments. You then put ‘faith’ in that ‘trust’ and life can move easily and more in flow. There may be a time that you can remember having little ‘faith’ in true ‘trust. Heartbreak of any kind is somewhat inevitable one may argue. Life can then become uneasy and anxious and moving through these times quickly and efficiently is the key to being in our most joyous state.
How can we restore our faith in order to fully trust during and after those distressed moments?
Taking these steps and others that resonate with you will serve as building blocks to trust. These steps will increase your vibration and keep your auric field strong. Which in turn will create and maintain the faith you have to TRUST….Again.
P.S. If you are completely in flow and are always listening to your intuition and suddenly you realize that you have a problem…. DON’T allow doubt to creep in. Maintain your faith and trust yourself. You are amazing and truly All Knowing from within.
